Lisa Robles
Lisa was born in Washington, DC and as a
child growing up in a Navy family she has lived in many
parts of the country gaining a broad perspective on many
issues through her extensive travels. While working as a
tech in the Intensive Care Unit of Angel Medical Center,
she followed her lifelong interest in communication disorders
and pursued her Associates in Applied Science degree in
Speech & Language Pathology Assistant from Southwestern
Community College. She trained in the public schools and
medical settings and brings to the Board her seven years
of practical experience in the health care profession. Lisa
worked with pre-school children in the Macon County School
System for three years. She is an active member of Beta
Sigma Phi, an international women's friendship network that
provides educational programs to its members and opportunities
for service to others.
Lisa is dedicated to creating a strong foundation
for fundraising efforts on behalf of Angel Medical Center.
“I know that a good hospital is vital for community
health and I want to work to maintain and improve our hospital
and help ensure that Angel Medical Center will be here for
Macon County as a community hospital for generations to
come.”
She is married to Dr. Gilberto Robles, a
skilled surgeon who is on staff at Angel Medical Center.
She enjoys life in the mountains of Western North Carolina
and whenever possible, she likes to go camping with family
and friends. Santiago Idaho arrived on November 22, 2007,
joining his three year old sister Paloma in the Robles family.
