Jane Shatley
Jane has had the good fortune to have lived
in Franklin for most of her life. She graduated from Franklin
High School and then worked for Dr. J. L. Hill, Jr. until
she and her husband Ed started their family. As their two
daughters grew up, Jane participated in many of their activities
even serving as a Girl Scout volunteer for more than ten
years. She served as an officer in the local Jaycette chapter
providing Jane with an opportunity to develop personal and
leadership skills through service to others. She recently
used her skills and keen interest in Macon County history
as she served on the Board for the Macon County Historical
Museum. Jane is a member of the First United Methodist Church
where she serves on the Parsonage Committee. Jane and Ed
love to travel and take every opportunity to visit and spoil
their grandchildren in Virginia or to stay in their second
home in Charleston, SC.
“Ed and I volunteered several years
ago with physician recruitment for Angel Medical Center
and found it extremely rewarding. We believe very strongly
that Angel Medical Center is an integral part of our community.
We want to do as much as possible to see that Angel Medical
Center and our community succeed.”
